In a romantic relationship, it doesn’t matter who ends the relationship. It takes much more strength & courage to let go of someone whom you once loved. The following tips will help you move on.
1) Feel the emotions/feelings associated with the person. Forego the expectations of what it could’ve been. Accept what it is, and forgive yourself that it wasn’t meant to be, then move forward.
2) Focus on the lessons learned: identify if there’s a relationship pattern that you can avoid next time to prevent heartbreaks: for example, are you attracting workaholic women? Or attracting women who are codependent, etc.?
3) Embrace what is possible and look forward to the better future: uncertainty may create anxiety or fear but embrace it with a new sense of serenity, freedom, a new possibility of a better soulmate coming your way. Embrace change with a positive mindset.
4) Self love: heal yourself by taking good care of yourself. This includes talking to a friend, taking up a new hobby to keep busy, getting a full body massage, eating well, exercising more, etc.
Take care and love yourself during this special transition so you can move forward to the next chapter of your life accepting yourself unapologetically!
